App Permissions Notice
Effective date: May 13, 2026. Permission questions are received at support@appxora.xyz.
Summary
XORA asks for permissions only when a feature needs them. If you deny a permission, the related feature may be unavailable or may ask again when you use it.
Camera
Used for QR/share-code scanning, profile/media capture, and video-call features where available. Denying camera access disables those capture or scan actions.
Microphone
Used for voice notes and encrypted voice/video calls. Denying microphone access disables recording and call audio input.
Photos and media
Used to pick, attach, save, or share media inside conversations. Denying access prevents selecting or saving media from the device library.
Location
Used only when you choose to share current location in a conversation. Denying access prevents location sharing.
Notifications
Used for wake/sync and account/security alerts. Notification content is designed to remain privacy-preserving according to in-app settings.
Biometrics and local authentication
Used for local app lock and security material where the platform supports it. Denying biometrics may require passcode or another fallback control.
NFC
Used for privacy-safe XORA Share Card links if NFC features are enabled. NFC payloads must not contain message bodies, raw account IDs, or private keys.
Network and development-only overlays
Internet access is required for account, sync, encrypted transport, and asset delivery. Production release review must confirm only intended permissions are present.
App permissions summary
XORA requests permissions only when needed for a feature. Camera, microphone, media, notification, biometric, NFC, and network permissions must match the actual app configuration before release.
